Great wildlife spotting place. Quite a few well marked trails with one with reflective trail markers for night walks. Very helpful caretaker at the village. Take water and supplies there are no retail outlets.

What a great area. Love to go out and see God's creation. This area has an abundance of wild life and flowers. Spent two days here, but could have spent longer.

Dryandra Woodlands is one of my happy places.Camping in the Woodlands at Gnaala Mia, or staying at the Lions Village in the Magpie Hut are a treat and can't happen often enough! This remnant woodlands is a reminder of what has been lost to Agricultural practices back in the day, and should be a trip everyone should take at least once to remind them of why natural places like this are precious to all humanity.Seeing the wildlife and being amongst the trees is a pleasurable experience of connection to this unique environment. Can't wait for my next visit!

What a great place to camp in nature!Spent two nights at Gnaala Mia Campground. Great kitchen facilities with 2 x gas barbecues. Beautiful bush trails to hike and spot wildlife, wildflowers (depending on the time of year)and stunning scenery. Most unique and diverse scenery I've ever seen while camping. We were lucky enough to spot 2 numbat and 3 echidna on our time there.

Came away disappointed to be honest. Some decent walking trails, but hardly any flora or fauna. We did the 5k Woylie and saw a few kangaroos and birds, but that was about it.New signage looks fantastic but I think they have removed the Audio trail, nothing came up on the radio when tuned to 100fm.Barna Mia is the highlight,Dead mice and mouse droppings in our bed were the lowlight staying at Lions in Magpie Cottage.

Absolutely love Dryandra been here lots as a child and especially with school excursions, but recently with my family and doing all the walking trails and drive trails! The area is amazing and it’s so much wildlife and beautiful serenity!A must for everyone’s list of places to see and hopefully you can spot some beautiful endangered Numbats!

I drove hours to visit this place purely to try my luck finding a numbat but had no luck despite the caretakers efforts to help me find the elusive little creatures. I planned to stay overnight but had to leave. With dogged determination, I returned a couple of days later and gave myself two hours to get my numbat, and just when my time was almost up, success!! I was very happy to see this adorable little animal fossicking in its natural habitat. If you do go and are lucky enough to see one, please take your photos and move on. Apparently, they lose a lot of feeding time hiding from visitors who outstay their welcome.

Although I only had a quick visit I am planning on coming back when it is not so hot so I can explore the woodlands further. All the info I have consumed suggests that this will be a great place to stay and hike/explore. Was really impressed with the landscape and scope of critters that inhabit this area.

We spent 2 day's in the woodlands and saw so many native Australian animals was just incredible. Highly recommend for photography of wildlife and birds as there is just so much. To see the Numbats and Echidnas the best bet is to just drive really slow and keep a close eye on the open woodlands we spotted plenty this way and the other option is to do the bush walking trails and just be really quiet. A truly wonderful place and one I will definitely return too.
